With playoffs just around the corner, we wanted to make sure everyone was clear on the scheduling and what is actually going on. For background, keep reading, otherwise go ahead and skip ahead to the schedule.

Our earlier booking of diamonds was intended to have us playing on September 10 (today) and September 17 (next Sunday). Unfortunately, the booking wasn’t on our home field of Nobleton. The diamond we had booked was supposed to still be playable and would have a big enough field for us to play, but the city did some renovations and have made it a kids park. While some are thrilled with the idea of being able to hit 180′ homeruns – we unfortunately couldn’t go forward with that. We extended our search to Nobleton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Brampton. Finally, in Brampton we were able to find a facility that would allow us to get the games in. Unfortunately, the original schedule of Sept 9 and Sept 17, wasn’t possible. However, we were able to get 2 diamonds for September 16 and 17.

As a result, we’ve decided to make the playoffs a one weekend show. The quarter finals and semi finals will be played on Saturday, September 16, 2017 and the Finals (where all teams play) will be on Sunday, September 17, 2017. The Finals is a family event and we want you to bring your friends and family to hang out. We will have a BBQ and will be looking to provide food for players and fans at no or low cost. We will also have a stand that will be selling juice and popcorn for those that are interested. For the kids, we’re looking at having something fun for them to do (and something sweet for them to eat) while they watch their fathers/brothers/uncles live out their dreams of being a semi-pro (totally amateur) slo-pitch softball player.
